Questions Can't Post

Okay, we have the script, we have the camera (xl-1), now the questions. First of all, has anyone produced an adapter that will allow the xl-1 to take prime lenses without the 7.2X focal length lengthening? Also, what are the cons of shooting in the 16:9 aspect ratio (ie, how much resolution is lost and how does it look)?
Thank you,
N

Focal length of the lens/adapter combo does not change (at least not materially). It is the effective field of view relative to using the same lens on a 35mm camera. The 7.2x indicates that a a 20 mm film lens in the XL1 will produce about the same field of view as a 144 mm would on a 35mm camera.
Don't know of any primes specifically for the XL1 (there are rumors every so often). YOu might want to check the Canon 14x manual lens for the XL1 if you need capabilities such as pulling focus.
