Re: How much lighting is required... Can't Post

Greetings,
I have an XL1 (not s) that is doing odd things. Right now the XL1 works when it
wants too, and doesn't work when it doesn't want too.
If I put in a battery, and switch on the XL1, sometimes it does nothing. If i re-install
the battery, or knock on the battery, it will sometimes come on. Sometimes it
comes on, but displays a green screen.
Anyone experience anything like this?
BTW: This camera is from '99 and does not have a huge number of hours. I had the
camera serviced about a year ago, and have hardly used it this year, and nothing
unusual has happened to it.

Not sure about the subject Re: How much lighting is required...
about the battery------- does the camera power up ok on A/C?
if so maybe a battery problem.
if A/C does the same thing check the contacts on the camera body they may be contaminated you may be able to clean them with a lenline brush

XL1 Problem [In reply to] Can't Post

Not sure on that subject either :) I don't know where it came from!
Anyway, battery or AC, same problem. Sometimes if a "smack" the battery, it starts
working.
