Stuck for Blanks... Can't Post

After doing some research I ordered 20 Fuji DVM-60 blank tapes thinking (and hoping) they would arrive in time for an event Saturday.

Not here yet and I doubt they will make it.

So, I'm faced with going to Circuit City and getting some tapes.

I can choose between Maxell, JVC, Sony and Panasonic. There are, in some brands a choice between one price and a higher price. I didn't want to get into putting actual product numbers here as I was not sure if it would be helpful.

Which would you choose?

Thanks,

Ken

I guess this was a rather redundant question, I'll prolly go with Panasonic or Sony judging from previous responses.

Thanks!

Ford, Dodge or Chevy? Talk to any one of the individual owners and the other two are doo dooh. LOL - that's always the case.

A friend insists SONY are the best and can't be beat by any other. Then that same friend looks at my videos (shot on Panasonic) and says they are GREAT. I didn't tell him I had to use a SONY one time when I ran out of my Panasonics .. and am not even sure what video is shot on what anymore.

They're really all pretty good if they're recognizable names. The story about the lubricants being different and clogging up the heads is supposed to be a big issue, but I've been stuck with using two different brands due to not ordering a hundred bulk pack of my favorite (PANASONIC) and have NOT yet had any problems .. yet.

So, to be extremely fair about all the different brands ? Side by side, to be honest - they all look good.

Panasonic Rocks - all the others suck.

LOL - does that help ?

BTW - the only problems with tape fidelity is recording over old recordings ... but again, to this day I haven't really seen a problem.

Urban legends live large - but are usuallly just that, urban legends.
