Studio Viewfinder Can't Post

I am looking for a studio viewfinder for my XL-1s. But I don't really want an LCD. Any suggestions?

Re: Studio Viewfinder Can't Post

It has been a while since I used an external CRT monitor for my video camera,
but here are my suggestions:
1) Look for a 9" B&W monitor that will accept composite or S-video connection.
These monitors should be high resolution and will be a great aid for focusing.
however, the size and weight will pose a few challenges for you to solve.
2) Buy an inexpensive 5" - 9" portable TV with video inputs. Focusing will be
easier because of the large screen, but not as precise as a good B&W monitor.
It will still be pretty good, however.
3) Buy a 13" TV or video monitor. If TV, your cost will be about $130.00. My
preference would to be to spend a few extra dollars and buy a Panasonic
1300 Y series monitor for about $250 - $300 (haven't priced them lately).
This series offers a 350-400 line resolution monitor with three video inputs at
a reasonable cost. Mine is 12 yewars old and still works well. The clarity and
brightness are excellent, and I can see to focus very well. It is a good
compromise if you are not willing to shell out hundreds of $ for a high
resolution field monitor.
