Switching from XL1 to XL1S Can't Post

I'm planning on doing a two camera shoot and I'd like to use the camera's I currently have (instead of renting) for the studio production.

I'm wondering if this is possible. If so, what do I need?

Does one need to Genlock with the XL1 and XL1S?

Can anyone help me out here, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Miked

I'm not sure they even make DV camcorders that can be genlocked.
If you are going to shoot two cameras and then edit the footage together on your computer it is a pretty easy process to match up the footage and have it stay in synch. If you are feeding a video mixer during the shoot, it should have a built-in TBC to keep things synched up.

Tell him that if he's throwing around words like "genlock" it makes him sound old Tongue
