The Green Screen (XL1) Can't Post

I just started up my XL1 and it seems that I cannot get past its green screen. This sounds like it must be something simple but nonetheless I cannot figure out what I am doing. If I put the camera into ANY shooting mode, nothing happens, I just have the green screen (and all the normal readouts). Anyone have any clue what's going on?
Thanks,
Gabe

Green or blue? Never seen agreen screen?
Any icons on the screen?
Probem both in camera mode and playback mode?
Is this at the analog video output, or the viewfinder?
If the viewfinder, check the analog video output too.
If analog videois normal, check that the viewfinder cable is fully seated. If both, is the lens fully seated?
