What are the fonctions of these pieces in the X16 Canon ?	Can't Post

In the x16 focus, there was something that was moving when I checked it slowly( there was just behind the PUSH, AF...buttons). I succed to take off these two little pieces.
What are the fonctions ? Where can I do replace them ?

Well, I just looked at my XL1s. There is nothing on the lens, but there are two thin pieces of metal inside the lens mount of the camera body. One at top and one at bottom. I could not see all of the metal and do not know if the shapes are the same.

Post this question on the XL1/XL1s discussion page at www.dvinfo.net. Their information on Canon cameras is by far the best I have seen.
