XH A1 Onboard Mic Can't Post

How good is the XH A1 on board mic? Would it work ok for ambient audio?

Sure it will....but how good a quality do you want. It is about equal to most other on cam mics in it's class....better than consumer cams but generally not something you want to rely on for important stuff. I will sometimes use the on cam mic to mix in some crowd noise for a reception or crowd responses at a ceremony.

If I can't get live feeds at a reception I will use a mix of the on cam mic and my wife's cam with a shotgun ( and sometimes wireless free from a mic on the DJ speaker). This mix is usable but not what I want on all my videos.

Why does a gorilla have big nostrils.......cause it has big fingers.
