XL1S	Can't Post

I have a Canon XL1S and looking for best editing program compatible with camera. I have been using ULead Media Studio Pro 6 but audio and video will not sync. Audio gets ahead of video after 2 or 3 minutes of editing. Any suggestions.

I have used MSP6 now use MSP7 and an XL1S and have not had any audio sync problem. Possibly you need to diagnose whats causing the out of sync.
Are you using 48k 16 bit exclusively? or 12 bit exclusivly?
are you mixing them?
Does the capture losse sync?(before putting it in the timeline)
or only after rendering?
Does it loose sync during preview but it's ok if you output from timeline?

To Smitty: thanks for reply. The audio/video sync occurs after rendering. Capture and preview is okay. After about a minute or so, the audio gets ahead of video and two to three minutes later the gap increases. The video is a MPEG 2 with 48k, 16 bit, stereo audio at 187 kb/sec. I'm thinking maybe the sound card may not be compatible since Ulead will not allow me to check the "synchronize video with audio" check box. Its grayed out. I am sort of "greek" to this program and am still learning it. Many thanks. Gordon.

Hi thanks for the response , are you capturing to DV type1 then inserting in a DV type 1 project, editing then creating an MPEG2 file?If you are inputing video to a MPEG2 project this might be causing a problem.
