XL1 Audio problem Can't Post

Does anyone know why the XL1 would "clip" the audio if the signal is clean and volume is OK going into the camcorder? I have cleaned the heads and changed audio mixers, I use the Shure FP-410 and Shure M367. The camcorder is one year old and I am thinking it may be an alignment problem Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, DBarlow, 1-888-806-3617

Hi David
I will try to help this may sound stupid but try switching the xL1's manual audio swicth on and adjust the input from your mike, maybe the auto mode is pulling the signal down because it could be to high worth a try I hope it helps you.

Which output did you use from the Shure mixers? What level were they setup to provide? How was the XL1 audio setup (which inputs, what levels, AGC or manual gain, etc.)?
What was the program material, and did you examine the waveform and see the clipping, or does it just sound like it clipping?
