Are you looking for a zoom lens? Any specific focal length? The Canon 14x sells for just under $1000 and is about the best bet for video. It is integrated with the XL1 electronics.
You can buy an adapter that lets you use Canon 35mm lenses, but the field of view tends to be telephoto even with wide angle 35mm lenses.
