XL1 mic Can't Post

Does anybody know what power comes out of the 2.5mm mini-jack,
the one beside 3.5 stereo one,I want to hear what this mic
sounds like through a good preamp...

No, I do not know. However, it does provide power to the mic, and the other plug is sound from the mic. I made a mic extension cable using heat shrink,etc. and it worked fine.

5 VDC, current limited. Be aware that power return (ground,) at least on the camcorder, is through the ground on the mic audio jack, not the power jack. I believe this is to prevent problems cause by people plugging stray things into the jack on the camcorder.
