Zoom Issues with GL1 Can't Post

I have a GL1 that is probably 3 years old. It has worked fine until this past school year when I started having trouble with the zoom feature. This may not make sense so bear with me! Sometimes the zoom works like it is supposed to however, on too many occasions it develops a mind of its own! When zoomed in it will gradually zoom back out.....at times it won't zoom in at all because it is already trying zoom out. This poses all kinds of problems when doing event videography that requires the use of the zoom. Has anyone had this experience and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks!!!

Send it in for servicing. It sounds like you might have some dirt or something under the rocker that is applying pressure to the zoom out control.

Sounds like dirty contacts inside the zoom control. Definitely send it in for servicing.
