audio drops on the GL2-Help Can't Post

Lately when I have been using my GL2 the audio recording drops out. While I'm using it for the dances and stuff I can see the audio is not recording. It happens once or twice in a night for about 1 - 2 minutes. Any ideas how to fix this? or do I need to ship it to Canon?

I know you've probably already done this, but it worked for me and my XL cameras. Run a tape cleaner twice on it then test it. I had the problem after shooting on a very humid day. I lost audio I thought I was capturing cause I could hear it through the headphones. After I ran the tape cleaner, everything was fine.

I do only use one kind of tape in my camera though. I have never mixed brands. If you have used different kinds of tapes, you may have another problem.

Good luck! Canon will charge you a fortune to fix heads. If it comes to that, see if you have a local Canon rep as opposed to sending it to NJ or CA.
