autofocus Can't Post

The autofocus seems to work a little to well. While shooting it seems to be "pumping" a little to much. I usually shoot manual but there are circumstances (for instance interviewing and shooting handheld where i would like to use the autofocus. Its smaller brother does not have this problem. Can i somehow get the autofocus to work a little slower??

Three things. Auto focus needs reasonable light levels (over 50 lux). The object of interst must have contrast (vertical edges work best). And the object of interest must be in or near the center of the image. If any of these are not met, you can expect some focus shifting or hunting. Perhaps use manual mode and the PUSH AF button as needed.

If you are shooting from a tripod, be sure to have image stabilizer is switched off. Sometimes that will cause the image to move slightly in the frame.
Check your other settings too. If you f-stop keeps changing so will your depth-of-field.
