camera control timer Can't Post

Hello: I'm looking for a camera control timer for my XL-1. I had one for my old Betamax cameras. It was made by Sony and the number is HVR-100T if anyone is into looking it up in some archive to see exactly what it does. I shall attempt to explain it here: It is a little black box which fits in the camera shoe. It has two modes which work together. The "stand-by" mode is from 0 to six minutes. The "record" mode is from 0.5 to infinity. I can plug this little device into the remote and set the stand-by for 12 and the record for 3 and hit the start button. The camera of course is mounted atop a tripod. The camera will come on every 12 seconds and record for three seconds. I have not seen anything like this in my travels around the net. Maybe it is too hard on the cameras and they don't make such a thing anymore. My old Sony timer will not work in the LANC-Remote of my XL-1. With this device you can watch flowers opening or the sun go down real quick, things like that. High speed effects. If any you understand what I'm looking for, or in fact, know of a place where I can get one of these little beauties please let me know. Also if anyone knows any negatives about using such a device on the XL-1 or any other camera for that matter please let me know. Thank all for reading this. Bye for now. SPARK
