firewire port is DEAD ? Help Can't Post

Problem to acquire.

Computers won't recognize my XL1 no more via firewire. I tried on another computer, with an another cable and no results. So it's not windows nor the pc firewire card. It used to work very well before. There's a "DV IN" flashing on the lower right part of the lcd when I turn the dial to VCR. I don't remind seeing this before. Nothing in the manual explain the "dc in" flashing. It still doing it when plugged to my computer. I feel like my xl1 is waiting for a dubbing master to connect to it. Maybe the ieee port of my camera is simply burnt out. I even tried to reset all my xl1 menus by removing the backup battery. I Don't know what to do any more. At least could just anyone tells me if the "dc in" flashing on my lcd is normal, so I could jump to another conclusions.

Thanks guys
