If you intend to distribute on DVD's, which are often played on computers and other progressive scan systems, then frame mode will look much better without the interlacing artifacts. This is the DVD era and anything you can do to enhance the look of video on a DVD is a plus. The slight "film look" of frame mode is a bit of a bonus. It doesn't really look like film but it does impart enough of a difference to get rid of that "video look." As for shooting motion: well, movie makers have been shooting motion with 24fps motion picture cameras for decades and they've figured out how to make it work. Here's an example of how fast motion can be shot with Canon frame mode and come out looking very clean: http://bobhudson.com/bison.html - on the DVD of this footage you can pause it on a TV or computer screen it the edges of the running buffalo are very clean:no artifacts. I'd suggest doing some extensive tests and maybe reading up on how they shoot movies as far as moving the camera goes. Here's an article about frame mode in general: http://www.adamwilt.com/...AQ-etc.html#filmlook.
