helmet cam for xm1 Can't Post

I would like to attach a small helmet cam to a canon xm1 cam and thus record shots that I am unable to shoot because I need both hands: climbing, whitewater, biking etc. Has anyone ever tried something a like? I have no idea where to start with that project. Can I use a webcam? Do I need extra power supply for the cam? How can I connect the cam to the xm1? What do I have to take in consideration etc.
I appriciate any constuctive comment. Thanks

Take a look at this http://viosport.com/...p;cat=248&page=1 - it's a complete helmet cam kit it will show all that you need to do this. There are many companies making helmet cams, which are basically "lipstick cams" with special mounts for helmets. Some use velcro, or use adhesives for attaching the mount to the helmet. A Google search of helmet cam will turn many options.
