mac recognising Gl-1? Can't Post

Does anyone else here have trouble getting their mac to recognise their GL-1? I often have to switch my GL-1 off and then on again several times until my mac (G4, OS 9.0.2) will recognise it as a firewire device.

Sometimes. I'd like to think it's the OS as it happens occasionally with my Ultura as well as my GL1. Could be a Canon thing, though. I'm using 9.0.4 on a G4 and think it's still a little quirky yet. My Apple System Profiler says there isn't enough memory to profile my system when I have 256 megs of ram. Little stuff like that.
Oh well, I can live with it. I have to use a PC for work and it's the crankiest SOB even when it's running right.
Later on,
Marc

My GL-1 has no problems being recognized by the G4: using MacOS 9.04(free upgrade), Quicktime 5 beta(free), Firewire2.5(free) and iMovie 2.01($50).
For me, the GL-1 and iMovie 2.01 are a perfect fit.
fwiw,
