miniDV tape brand/model suggestions Can't Post

I’m videotaping a rock band in a dark lounge setting, with spotlights, etc., using both a Canon XL, and a Canon GL. What brand/model of MiniDV tape should I use to get the best quality raw footage, which will then be captured into my PC for editing?

Doesn't really matter its DV -->Re: miniDV tape brand/model suggestions Can't Post

There is no difference in the quality of the image stored on tape. Its all digital. General stick to one brand of tape. I use Panasonic AY-DVM63XB, but I have had good luck with Sony tapes as well.
