problem with FU-1000 monochrome viewfinder Can't Post

perhaps someone has the answer to that question. i have a pal xl-1 and a ntsc labled canon fu-1000 monochrome viewfinder. when i start the cam the picture inside the viewfinder rolls down very fast and gets slower and slower until the picture is still. that syncronizing is normal, it synchronizes the 50hz picture from the xl-1 with the 60hz from the ntsc. but that takes up to 15minutes until the pic stands still... does soemone know if there is a way to modify the viewfinder ? or perhaps to adjust it somehow ? the picture is still after that time until i shut the xl-1 down, so it works, but not the way i want to...

regards

Elmar
