serialnumbers new releasexl1's without 16x-lens problem? Can't Post

Hello,
Recently, I bought a secondhand XL1. Now it has come to my attention that there was a problem with earlier xl11-models regarding their standard lens.
Does anyone know the range of the old serialnumbers and the start of the new XL1-serials?

What sort of problem? The main issue I know of is that some had improperly adjusted back focus, and there was a patch to the PushButton Focus released about a year ago to change how critical focus data is stored.

Canon serial numbers are a complex thing. The number includes more information than just consecutive numbers off the assembly line. At least in the USA you can contact Canon to determine whether or not a given unit has the patch.
