shot gun on XL1 Can't Post

What are your thoughts on the XL1 shotgun.
In my experience, its pickup is too wide and picks up
unwanted audio. Any tips are suggestions for a better
shotgun?

I'm very happy with my Sennheisser K6/ME6 on my GL1. I think it is vital to have the noise isolation mount and wind screen sold by www.lightwavesystems.com.

The XL1 microphone is NOT a shotgun, it is a stero mic with a cardoid pattern the covers the front 180 degrees, give or take a bit. If you are getting too much side pickup, get a mic with a tighter pattern, or beter yet close-mic the talent.
