wich microphone for professional use? Can't Post

Hi all.
We are starting to shoot some shorts and our first long movie with the canon XL1. May be we will transferr it to film,
depending very much on our (or others' money at that time :)
Can somebody gives us some advices about the kind of microph. the XL1 can work properly with? As more profesionally as it can?
We are going to buy the XLR adaptor for the XL1... so we can use a good mic. We will work principally with professional actors and actresses, so you can imagine that for us dialogs will have a primary importance.
For this reason we want to give our dialogs the clearest
and deepest quality (we have to try to... at least!)
Is out there anybody that has experienced something like this? Any advices will very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance :)
Mic
