Your notes are very useful to me. In fact I think I will purchase the ME-66 (and if I have a chance I will get the ME-67 sometimes later). The Sennheiser house told me that the ME-67 can get the actor's voice from a distance of 9 to 13 feets. So, I hope I can have the possibility to get both microphones, this way I hope I can shoot in different conditions and locations. But I will buy both mics just IF MONEY will allow me to do it. For now I could go for the ME-66, because I will work in interiors more than outdoors.

: short shotguns work very good interiors and good outdoors but not so good in very small room (like bathroom) ......long shotguns work so-so to OK on interiors and excellent outdoors .....
: i use a short shotgun (AT 4073) for inetriors and exteriors ..on those really WIDE angle exterior shots i use both wireless lavs and /or hidden mic and my shotgun ( mixed to separtate channels) .... i have NOT found the need to date to purchase a long shotgun ( perhaps in time i will)... but so far my projects have been documentary and moc-documentary .....
