wireless mikes Can't Post

Hello,
I just purchased an XL1 and will be shooting some material in Tanzania in September. I'm very excited!
I actually have two questions. First, I want to shoot two people with wireless mikes. Is this possible with the MA-100? Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as brand names, quality, etc. I am actually leaning more towards a lower price than crystal-clear quality. Do the mikes need to be on different frequencies??
Second, my father has a TAMARON super-telephoto lens (I believe it's for his Canon Rebel) that he says is EOS compatible. Does anyone know if this could possibly fit the XL1 if I purchase that adapter which name escapes me right now? (er, EOS adapter??)

Might be a good idea to check if they have special rules for use of wireless mic. Special frequency assignments, etc.

Yes, one mic system into each channel

In general, Yes.

Can't speak to the Tamaron, but keep in mind that based on equivalent fields of view, there is roughly a 7x multiplier on focal length. That is, a 500mm EOS lens, when placed on the XL1, will net an image about like a 3500mm lens would on the 35mm camera. And you will have to figure out how to hold it steady <g>.

You should also check on the legal issues using wireless mics there too. There may be special licenses required. Another important thing is to make sure you will get your camera through customs.
I believe the lense adapter cost another $450 for the XL-1.

Thanks for your responses. Could you give me any idea, such as brand names, for example, of where to start looking? (on the web i suppose...)
