xl-1 warning light What is it for? Can't Post
Help with XL-1
wedding today. What is the red light with warning bar through it falshing on the middle of my screen(next to the no cassete warning.
I rented a camera and i don't have the book !

You should be able to download the manual in PDF format from the CANONDV website.
Does the flashing thing under the slash look a bit like one of the thin (button) backup battery? If so, the backup battery (a CR2025) is getting weak/needs to be replaced.

The above battery is found on the underside of the hand grip on the XL1.
