xl1 win2000 device controll problem?

xl1 win2000 device controll problem?	Can't Post

when I turn on the xl1 and it is connected to my mirodv200 windows has a problem and some process keeps eating system resources -stops and goes back to eating up process -stops and on and on. I had the problem for quite some time and I installed the win 2k service pack2 as it addressed a firewire revision and I thought that that would help out. Turns out no go.
If anyone has had problms with the xl1, new version of miro video tools, and windows2000 let me know how you handled it.
