GL1 repair advice Can't Post

Hello all,
Wondering if any of you have undergone the expererience and cost of having burned out pixels replaced? Considering having 2 repaired on a GL1. Can't get specific info from Canon repair, just the general estimate cost -- which can lead to other costs. Any of you had this done by Canon? How much did it end up running you, and were you satisfied with the results?
Also, read some posts below about, both, dissatisfactin with Canon's west coast repair center, and a good experience with Canon's Toronto Center. Can anyone chime in about their expereinces with the New Jersey repair Center, and what one might expect from them.
Many thanks to all for your time and help on this page.
