2 cams 1 avio Can't Post

Need some basic help. I am getting back into video after 20 some odd years. Mainly helping with church projects. I captured the same footage with 2 ea. Cannon GL2 cams. One of them had much better audio. I can edit the two cams in my Avio and build the story board with no problems. How do I take the "good" sound from cam 1 and apply the "good" audio to cam 2 clips?

Thanks in Advance

ps...anyone know of an excellent book on using my Avio?

Ron

Ron, put all of cam 1 in storyboard. Then "insert" edit good scenes from cam 2.
That way the good audio stays intact.
Avio manual has tips on insert editing.

Re: [Miracle] 2 cams 1 avio [In reply to] Can't Post

Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Unsure if I understand. If I put all of cam 1 on story board, then "insert" good scenes from cam 2 ... how can I get the cam 1 footage back down to the edit bin to edit out retakes. The footage is of a minister (shot with two cams) creating a video tape series for small group use at home. Both cams (started at sightly different times) has both recorded several "takes" of the same scene. Therefore the footage from both cam 1 and cam 2 have to be edited.

Thanks again for helping !

Ron

Ron. I am kinda new to this insert editing myself--so bear with me.
Maybe go to private emails later.
Try this. Put Cam 1 (good sound) into Scene Bin -make several scenes---or split and trim to get a good finished product. So now you should have one cam with good sound on the top (storyboard) section.
Then insert all of cam 2 in the same way--split into several scenes as you go along.
it the long run, that seems easier to me than splitting.
maybe do some retitling the scenes here to clear up confusion. It probably wont--ha !
Now edit all the cam 2 scenes--ones that are really good. These will be the inserts.
(they go in OVER the video from cam 1 keeping the cam 1 sound)
sounds easy--but it will take a while. Can you say "practice" ? ha
write me if you have more questions
Mike
