Hey Sony Betamax,
Steps for adding a custom still image:
1) Enter Arabesk Software
2) Enter "Edit Menu" box which appears near the upper left of the screen
Once in that section: make sure the following is set:
a) Menu Control - set to "Menu"
b) Menu Background - set TYPE to "Scene"; then below that, your next setting should be on "Select" which will bring up your scene bin from the project you are/will be burning to DVD. From here, select the image you want to use. You may need to go back out to your scene bin and create the exact image you want, or create the still you want (a 1 frame still is all you need to create); then, go back into Arabesk and follow the steps I just listed, and select that still scene.
The "Mode" setting on this screen should be set to "still"; Audio should stay as it is with the hyphen line showing in that box.
c) When finished with creating your main root menu (perhaps adding a title, etc.), then exit that section and go down to the box titled "ALL" - then hit create. After a few seconds it will be done and you can hit the play icon to see how it looks. If you don't like it, simply go back into the "Edit Menu" box, make changes and check again after it creates.
Oh, I'm not sure what version of SmartEdit you have, I'm using 4.0c - I don't know if an older version would limit your ability to insert a custom image or not - I can't remember. Let me know if you get it to work.
