Avio DV Pro problem Can't Post

I recently bought an AVIO DV Pro that was only about a year old. It has worked fine up until recently. When I output to a stand-alone DVD recorder or a VCR, the AVIO will just shut-off before the recording is finished. It never shuts off at the same place during the recording. Sometimes I get a message that says the AVIO was not quit properly. Someone has suggested that it may be overheating and that is causing the shutdown. Does anyone have any idea about what the problem could be? Maybe a power supply going bad or the cooling fan not cooling properly-I'm at my wits end because I am wasteing good DVD's and valuabl time with rework. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Hi Wayne,

Did you output your project to MiniDV tape? If so, does it stop at some point as well? If yes, then you must have a bad clip of some kind causing that. Otherwise, two things come to mind for you to try: 1) do an update of your operating system and see if that kicks out whatever bug/glitch you have or 2) Output your project to MiniDV, then go into your standalone with your MiniDV tape. That would eliminate you wasting discs and more additional time.

Good luck,

John
