Cassie & DV and Feature Length Films Can't Post

Anyone here using the the DV I/O only? How is the quality? DV magazine in the spring issue said that there was a noticeable image difference because of the dv to mjpeg conversion. I was wondering if this is only when mixing DV with other footage, or always.
Additionally, has anyone here used the Cassie to edit a feature shot of film and transferred to Beta Sp?
Any feedback would help. Thanks.
