DVD ARABESK 2 rendering time Can't Post

How long should it take to 'add film' if the film is 90minutes long... Forever?

Re: [Brother Justin] DVD ARABESK 2 rendering time [In reply to] Can't Post

The Claro, being their entry-level editor, uses a different chip set than those found in their other editors. So, because of this, it can't take advantage of their DVD DICON technology; in which video data can be converted to the DVD format in real time. A hardware supported MPEG-2 compression makes this possible, resulting in a conversion time that is up to 20 times faster than on PCs.

My understanding is the Claro will take longer for sure, but how much longer I don't know. Perhaps 2-3 times longer than what their DVD DICON technology can do. Would your dealer have an answer on this? Or, anything mentioned in the owner's manual?

Take care,

John

it seems to be 1.5x the length of video to rendering

so if its an hour it takes me 1 and a half hours to render
