DVD fails to burn Can't Post

Yesterday under-the-gun for a project that was ro be shown last night I attempted to burn a DVD with the Kron. The project would add to Arabesk but when I asked it to "write DVD" the busy light would go on for a few seconds, then go off and -nothing. I tried turning the unit off (on unused projects) and rebooting and burning the DVD - still no success. I then took the project out to MiniDV (which was to be my back up) and burned it to a DVD on a Panasonic stand alone DVD writer. While that was going on (took a long time) I decided to start over with the Kron. I erased the prigram from the Arabesk and reentered it. Which of course took a long time for it to convert. I assume that tyhe time is taken to convert to MMpeg2 for writingg on the DVD. And then hit 'write DVD'. Low and behold it worked. Could any one give me an explanation as to why? I changed nothing in the project. My only thought is that an error occured in the original conversion that stopped it from writing and that it was corrected when I reloaded the project. BTW I too both DVDs and the MiniDV to the program and they all worked. Of course we only showed it once:).

You did not tell us which os your are running on your Kron.
I think there had been a problem like this with older versions.
I would install the latest system software and the latest Arabesk version and see what happens.
It also could be helpful to reboot the Kron before you start writing the project to DVD (to get more RAM for this process).

Re: DVD fails to burn [In reply to] Can't Post

Steve,
Since this last problem I have upgraded to Kron+ 3.1. I am still running Arabesk 1.x. The latest DVDs I have tried to burn Fail to play on a GoVideo dual (VHS-DVD) player which will play DVDs burned with a Panasonic T3030 or with my pc using Vegas Archetect They also failed to play on the Panasonic T3030. They WOULD play on an expensive Sony DVD player. I burned the same project twice. Only three scenes, no transitions and simple menu. Total length of about 15 minutes. Am I doing something wrong or is the Arabesk severely limited in units it will play back in?
