Editing a 2 camera wedding using the Casablanca	Can't Post

I recently purchase the Casablanca editor so I am still in the process of learning how to use it. One big problem that I can not figure out is how to set up the editing so as to utilize both camera shots to do the final edit. I previously did my linear editing by using 2 player decks that were synced up and then I edited on the fly using a Pasonic mixes. So is ther anyone out there who is doing this type of editing using the Casablanca or anyone who can give me some advice on how to do this type of edit in a simple way on the Casablanca? Thanks.

the insert editing tool on the casablanca is great..with the new version 3.0 software, it is simpler to perform insert edits..use the scrub audio to help sync the two pieces of video..

Before the 3.0 upgrade I simply used the Cassie as a record deck..so if using the older software or the 3.0 to speed along,sync as usual add your disolves"crossfades" as you go. Then capture your additional cutaways and add these.The 3.0 allows very good sync to audio...Find a first word and trim your insert to the start of that word.You'll find that adding 3 extra camera angles of the same talking head scene is easy.Just practice a bit. Re read the manual several times,that should take a couple hours right. Never seen a manual so compact but easily explained. Aloha from Waikiki, Mike

: In a normal (for us) Catholic wedding we usually have at least 55 to 65 dissolves between vcr "A" and vcr "B" during an edit, how would the Cassie handle that? I don't think I like the idea of doing that many inserts although I realize an insert on an NLE system probably does not mean the same thing that it does in an analog system. I know that sounds like a lot of dissolves but remember I'm talking about an hour or more ceremony and I don't want to spend anymore than an hour doing the edit.
