Kron/DVD question Can't Post

Shortly before I quit doing video for hire, I obtained a Kron, which has sat pretty much unused on the shelf since then. I'd like to equip it, with as little expense as possible, to use to start converting years of family home movie video to DVD's. The machine has just the 40 GB drive, no DVD burner, and software version 1.5E, which I think includes the DVD burner software. My question: can I install a burner, A04,etc. and be ready to make DVD's, or will it not be that simple?
