Prestige-Old Photo Montage Can't Post

I would like to put in some old photos as a montage in my newly purchased Prestige. I have the Photo Transfer software. The instructions say to insert the SmartMedia card that has the photos on it. How do you get Old Photos onto a SmartMedia card?

You can get the photos on your SMC via a digital camera which accepts Smart Media Cards... but if you are using a Prestige and have 2D objects like photos, simply connect your video camera to the video input of Prestige (YC or Composite), then in Record window select 'Photo' instead of the deafault 'Normal'.
Then select the length you want your still photos to end up (the slider bar to the right). Click on the record button with a camera connected directly to your Kron/Avio and it will record the pic in just a few frames! This will only take about 6 frames of HD space and works so quickly you can record a stack of photos in a short period of time.
Then place your clips into the Storyboard and add a 1-second crossfade for a quick but effective photo montage. If you would like to add a subtle zoom in/out, feel free to email me directly for that tip (lest I clutter up this board).
Regards,
Chet

Re: Prestige-Old Photo Montage [In reply to] Can't Post

If you have a scanner you can actually scan your pics into and picture software on the computer. We have a smartmedia card reader/writer ($20 at BestBuy) that hooks up to our computer via USB. Then all you have to do it simply save your scanned photo to the smart media card writer as a jpeg (works just like an external hard drive). Then place the smart media card in the Prestige slot and go to Photo transfer under Special. This will actually give you a preview of all the pics on the card. You can then load the one you want or choose to load all.
