Re: Jumper settings!!! Can't Post

: : I recently purchased a Quantum Fireball 8.4 gig SE and cannot get it to run. I put the jumper settings the same as the 4.3 Quantum purchased from Draco, and thought that would be the answer. The jumper settings now are identical but the 8.4 DOES NOT RUN. What am I doing wrong? Do I put it on a different setting, is the drive bad,...HELP!!!
: Rob,
: First try putting the jumpers back the way they were when you received the drive. If that doesn't work, put the jumpers such that the address is 0 and the drive is 'terminated'. If that doesn't work, I would call your dealer. If your dealer can't help, then I would call Draco. They're pretty helpful in cases like this.

Rob, just another thought... have you installed the Casablanca software on the new hard drive? I saw a thread on here earlier for someone who had a new hard drive and couldn't get it to start on their Cassie, because he hadn't installed the new software. Can you be more specific about your problem. Is the hard drive starting to spin up, but the screen freezes on the blue Casablanca emblem, or is it even getting that far? The other possibility is that your cables in the sled or the sled itself is not seated completely. Check to make sure that all the right cables are attached in the right places and that the sled is pushed all the way in.
