Should I buy a casablanca editor and why? Can't Post

I manually shoot photos with my camcorder and dub in sound after I have them all arranged...I would like more special effects and improve my videos in the way of quality and professionaly. Is the casablanca the way to go? Is it worth the money? And is it more time saving?

Based on what you wrote, it is not possible to know what method you are using now to put your picture shows together. I assume it is a linear tape deck to tape deck type edit. It sounds as though you have a mixer involved as well.
If you want a video system which allows you to maintain the quality of your original, add precision to your edit process with little effort, add sound tracks which reflect the your needs, the Casablanca not only does it, it allows you to do it easily.
It will not save you time, since you will be trying more possibilities, but you will be AMAZED at how much fun you will have, and how easy it will be.
Is it worth it? Depends. For those who have tried to achieve the same results using other methods and have been frustrated, absolutely. If time is a commodity you have in abundance and you can achieve the same results another way, then it is not worth it. But for most of the 40,000 owners, it is wonderful. It is a quality product with great tech support, product development, and a group of users who enthusiastically provide additional support.
I wouldn’t trade mine for something else. No way!!

Phil nailed it in a way ecactly about word for word desription...Personally, I've had to add wedding ceremonies to a previously edited video show and do this a couple hours before the reception...take the completed show and show on a 12' screen. This is at least a few times a month. Talk about pressure but combining a few camera angles, adding 50 or so disolves, music etc. and downloading to digital tape to show at reception, this machine never fails to knock mine soks off.Never had a down time, never had a bit of regret and I hear the real time effects will be in zee verks ya... gotta compete mit da copycatz. Da future luks bright...but run ,don't walk to your Cassie dealer. If editing and not wrestling with computers is your goal. Go Cassie. Wish I had a kickback for everytime I typed that. Aloha from Waikiki, Mike (I'm listed under the Cassie pros in Hawaii on the Draco .com site )
