THE DAM 2.1 AUDIO PROBLEM. HELP HELP	Can't Post

After installing 2.1 and spending 12 hours on a project, I go to complete the audio (because Avio sez it must be done last) the audio screen locks up, or turns to a green screen.
Please tell me the 2.3 update cures this. and how can I install it without deleteing the project and 12 hours of my life or maybe deleteing my self altogether.
I have the 2.0 but I know this will delete the project if I install it.
