Upgrades Can't Post

I just bought an Avio DVD/DV 40g hd. Can I do a memory to 256 MB without a hard drive upgrade? Will this help on my audio scrubing editing?
Is the Panasonic DMR-E80H a good unit to do stand alone dvd's from the avio?

Hello Milton,
The 256 RAM Upgrade enables you to access HDs beyond 80 Gigs, but you will need to also purchase the Larger HD upgrade software from your Casablanca dealer (or direct to MacroSystem US). The RAM Upgrade is primarily to access the larger HDs (folks are now using 250Gig HDs!).
I have heard some folks indicate this has also improved their processing.
Regards,
Chet

Re: Upgrades [In reply to] Can't Post

Chet,
If an Avio system is already running a 40g HD, doesn't it already have the Larger HD upgrade software?
I have an Avio with Larger HD software, 256mb, 80g HD. If I wanted to upgrade to the "NEW LOOK" Avio, would the memory be upgradable to 512mb? How long would it take to receive my new system?
TIA
Gilbert
