analog to dv video converter for claro Can't Post

Does anyone know if you may convert analog to dv signal with a converter such as pyro, for use with the claro as it has no analog inputs?

From the German site:

If you need to make use of analogue video sources, simply do this via the analogue inputs of your existing DV equipment. Many current DV recorders and camcorders can be used as a converter (CVBS or YC to DV (iLink, FireWire)).
