avio to dvd burner distorted and lousy picture help Can't Post

when i go from the avio to a dvd burner like panasonic e50 or
phillips dr75 I get digital artifacts and a distorted image
quality of picture is degraded anyone else face this problem
and how to solve it
It seems like the dvd burners dont like the compression to start
with and i get digital artifacts and unnatural looking video
If i could get what comes out of the avio id be happy but
anything coming from a hard drive then to a dvd the picture
degrades anyone see this also?? Or in compatable equipement?
It get worse if i use svideo out and firewire out its not as bad
hmm any help appreciated

I've not had problems using SP or XP modes on the DVD recorder. Which mode are you using? Also, which Avio quality setting are you using?

i use sp never lp or ep they are pixelated
I have 3.2 os avio so i dont have video quality settings only one
Its not always noticable depends on the compression on hard disk i guess
but when i look at the image it looks great out of the avio but when I look at it coming out of a dvd burner phillips or panasonic it looks degraded
hard to explain i wish i could post video to show

: ... it looks degraded ...
Does it look degraded when recording from any other source -- original camera? other tapes or DVDs? Etc?
: hard to explain i wish i could post video to show
If you use the WinDVD player on your computer, tap the "P" key and it will grab frames. Then you could post at least a still or two so we could see.
