new user ?? Can't Post

Just got my cassie and working on first project. I'm running S-VHS footage through MX-30 into Cassie... As I'm working with footage, I notice that sometimes it looks almost "painted"...and no, I do not have my paint feature activated on the MX-30. Am I losing quality by running through the MX-30?
Appreciate feedback please.
Thanks

Yes, you are losing quality. Bypass the MX-30 unless you need some feature of the mixer such as luminance key and then bypass it again. I use my MX-50 to luminance key into the Cassie all the time but bypass it normally. Has your MX-30 been modified by Bob Rall? If not, it needs to be. Good luck.
