If they want video, the price comes up in the first two sentences. For photo, they spend 5 minutes going through the options, before they think about price. Like Rusty has said, the photo sale is already made in their minds, while we still have to convince them that video is worth considering. I think that's a very true statement. People know that they want a photographer when they call. A video of their day is an option. To some ... an extremely important option, but those people are in the minority. I'm having a very hard time with the phone right now. When they call and ask me if I'm available for their wedding day I have to ask or find a way of saying ... yes, I'm available to photograph your wedding on that day. I don't want to fumble around and ask if they mean photo or video. That way if they say no ... video, then at least I know where we stand.
