- I bring condoms to your wedding because I will most likely score with a bridesmaid.
Any other suggestions??

You had some pretty funny ones there, eppie!

Here's another one I ran across:

"One of the saddest things we do in this business is tell

callers that their date is already booked. We often book

2 years in advance. Hurry and secure your date so that

you are not left disappointed."

Maybe combine the above with "I will cry at your wedding" for maximum

impact???

I think if you are truly passionate about your work, you include a box of tissues with delivery of the album, and a package of microwave popcorn if they ordered a photo montage. Laugh

Here's one I just ran across today:
"I bring tissues with me because
I will most likely cry at your wedding".

That one is great! LaughLaugh

Maybe I should put that on my video website. I'm usually fighting the urge to cry...about half way through the YMCA.

"Fighting the urge to cry ... halfway through the YMCA." LaughLaugh

But you know what ... the photogs lay it on even thicker than what
videogs do!

- I bring beer to your wedding because otherwise I'd most likely leave early.

I actually had a photog tell me he brings booze to the wedding that he sneaks from if the client doesn't offer him free drinks at the bar. He said he keeps the booze in his car.

I'm also with you Rusty on the "bring and end"...my wife tells me that if I get a heart attack while shooting the 5th time "Gasolina" is played in an evening, I don't have to do wedding video anymore. Can you say "bienvineto a Miami?"
Best, Craig

Is that what that damned song is called? Laugh Whenever I get nervous, or am in a hurry, I start hearing that song bumping against the back of my head...having flashbacks to stupidly standing in front of the DJ's speakers. Mad I'm going deaf...all in the name of making cheap wedding videos. Laugh

Hi, Sandy.

I have noticed that often the advertising will list that
they started at a young age - such as one I just
saw who said she started into photography at 10 - so
don't hesitate to mention that first cam as a youngster.

People say all kinds of stuff. Usually because they're trying to make you believe something.

I know a "professional photographer" who claims that she's been into photography since she was 6. Ok, we all pretty much have, taking photos with the family polariod doesn't really count. This person has no clue what a full frame sensor is, what a polarizer is or how it works, Oh I could go on, but the point is that it's often people who want to puff themselves up make claims like this. Someone who is established & confident in thier abilities and work doesn't need to advertise with lines like that.

As for saying "I will cry at your wedding". Please! When a wedding is going on the things going on in their mind should be where they should be standing to get the next shot.
"I will cry at your wedding" - sheech, grab some prozac already.

Does she get any paid work, Shadow?

Yes, this person is very active with networking groups and gets work that way, usually small jobs.

Just ran across a new one: "I'm a hopeless romantic". I wonder
if they bring tissues.

Another photog says not only is he a "hopeless romantic", but his
wedding photography is "truly a labor of love".
