Sandy ... the only deals that I've seen are the ones where you can use a 10% coupon off at Best Buy. I'm not saying others don't exist, but that's all I've seen. Sometimes you can find the coupon on the internet. These cameras are still in high demand. One thing that I didn't take into consideration was editing the files. The upgrade for DPP comes with it, but on my Mac it's slow as a dying dog. It might be better on the PC ... don't. Mine was not an isolated case either. Many others that tried to use DPP on their Mac said it just wasn't even usable. I used to use Bibble Pro, but they don't have the newer version out yet to handle the files. I downloaded the trial version of Lightroom 2.2 and I'm going to have to break down and purchase it. So while I did save about $250 on my purchase of the camera, I'll end up spending $300 on the software. I believe CS4 will handle the files as well. I've shot all of 90 seconds of video with it ... but that's not why I bought it. I do like the usable high ISO files. I'll be shooting with it again tomorrow. I think you'll love it if that's the way you decide to go.
