I'm using the Firewire Lexar CF card reader. And its definitely faster than the USB readers.

Is there an advantage to using something like this as opposed to just going usb right out of the camera? Of course I could see using this if you have many cards to read which right now I do not.

XP,
I'm on HP and I have a very similar unit that was already integraded... BUT I still use straight to/from camera USB.

As you can see in the pics, it's portable/dockable and I don't need to worry about dropping my camera accidently. Plus, I can use 4 different cards at once. I paid about 20 bucks. Smile
